"Yeah," Matt repeats. He's still not sure he believes that, still isn't sure that this won't all end in the worst possible way for everyone involved in it, involved with him, but -- he wants to believe, to have faith. For not the first time, he thinks of Father Lantom and that maybe, at some point before he goes back to 'work', stopping in to see him.

"Speaking of," he starts after a long moment, a sip of water, and that in mind, "if I don't answer my phone, tomorrow, don't -- don't freak out, alright? I'm not planning on doing anything stupid."
